It all started with an ordinary gas stove, a second-hand stockpot, a spatula and some cheesecloth in the very early days of Aveda. Drawing on his pharmaceutical education and a love of herbals Shiv Nath Tandon created our now legendary Clove Shampoo. His inspiration? Fragrant herbs found in his kitchen. "It was Mother Nature's way of saying, "Pay Attention", says Shiv Nath, " it really brought together my logical mind and my emotional mind."
The Clove Shampoo formula is rich in rosemary and sage but most notably featuring the dark, spicy clove. Known for it's singular aroma, intense brown color, and natural cleansing properties it's been a favorite with brunettes for thirty years and counting.
